Creative Piecework
Featuring the Flowering Gum pattern
Creative Piecework is my signature online quilting class. Working through the Flowering Gum Quilt Pattern, I teach my quiltmaking process from start to finish, through all-new video lessons. This class is completely self-paced, and all lessons will be available immediately. The processes learned in this class apply to all of my other quilt patterns too.
When I created my Flowering Gum block-of-the-month in 2021, I had no idea how popular the pattern would be! It has been made by quilters all over the world. What I love about this pattern is that the block format makes it easy to work through a large project step-by-step (perfect for a block-of-the-month). I also love that the design is so eye-catching, while still being a very manageable introduction to my piecework process. In fact, while I still teach my smaller 50cm designs in my two-day workshops, I believe that this pattern is the best introductory pattern to my process.
This class includes a thorough demonstration of every aspect of making this quilt. I have filmed the whole process with improved sound and imagery, so that you can have an even more comprehensive experience than an in-person workshop. You’ll be able to revisit sections as often as you need, and there’s also a troubleshooting class to help you through any tricky points. So, basically, I have taken my most popular pattern and turned it into my signature quiltmaking class- Creative Piecework!
Creative Piecework includes access to the class website, with digital patterns for printing, instructions for piecing, access to a class workbook and more than 90 minutes of video lessons, and other helpful PDFs.

While this is not a full-blown quilting class, I do demonstrate how I like to quilt my projects. The primary focus is on my piecework process, but you will get an overview of quilting and binding as well.
Would you like a kit?
I know how you all love a good kit! This one includes interfacing, beautiful cotton linen blend for the background fabric, and high quality cotton fabric in 22 luscious colours. Basically, all the fabric needed to complete the Flowering Gum quilt top. Does not include batting, backing fabric or binding.
You will also need to purchase the Creative Piecework class (including the Flowering Gum pattern). Kits are limited, so get in quick!
