This quilt was made in response to the bushfires that destroyed more than 70 homes in our neighbourhood in February 2011.
Someone pointed out to me this week, that although she had scrolled through several pages of this blog, she hadn’t come across any images of completed artworks. Oops. I’ve decided to remedy that with a regularly weekly blog post featuring one of the artworks in my portfolio. I hope you enjoy!
Today’s artwork is the first quilt I made using the machine-piecing technique I still use now. As you can see, the shapes are much simpler than those in my childhood quilts!

I love knowing that this quilt now hangs in the home of dear friends – it’s even been right around the world with them!
All my artworks can be viewed on my website.
