Hannah made finger puppets for Daniel's recent birthday. I showed her this image and drew the body shapes onto paper for her, and she took it from there. I love it that she persevered to make a set of four rather than stopping after the first one.

These are a perfect beginner project – basic sewing, doesn't take too long to complete, with plenty of scope for creativity.

And Daniel loves them too.
